Sensible Counseling was created to give people a straightforward, supportive place to work on their mental health. My goal is to remove barriers that keep people from starting therapy — whether that’s finding time in a busy schedule or simply not knowing where to begin. With flexible in-person and virtual sessions, and research-based treatment, I make it easier for you to focus on what matters: your growth, your healing, and your future. At Sensible Counseling, therapy isn’t about labels or quick fixes. It’s about building strength, clarity, and resilience so you can move forward in life with confidence.

My Approach
Many people come to me feeling weighed down by anxiety, sadness, or self-doubt. You might notice constant worry, difficulty sleeping, or feeling disconnected from the people closest to you. Couples I work with often struggle with communication breakdowns, emotional distance, trust concerns, or the stress of parenting and finances. I also help individuals and couples navigate big life changes like divorce, loss, career shifts, or blended family dynamics that can shake your sense of stability.
My approach is practical and genuine. I do not just advocate for change, I live it. The tools I use in session are the same ones I apply in my own life because I believe change has to be real, not just talked about. With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I will help you untangle unhelpful patterns, quiet the inner critic, and build healthier coping skills. For couples, I use the Gottman Method to guide conversations that reduce conflict and strengthen connection. Together, we will make sure the progress you create in therapy actually carries over into your daily life.
